Dr. Douglas McDonald serves as Medical Director.  He has been in clinical practice in the area for over 25 years.  Kim is our certified Coolsculpting technician, and she has nearly 20 years’ experience in the medical field.  As a Coolsculpting customer herself, Kim is eager to share her personal experience with those considering this remarkable, non-invasive procedure.

Dr. McDonald is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (BS ’83), Case Western Reserve School of Medicine (MD ‘89) and Cleveland State University (MBA ‘98).  After completing a Transitional Program at the Cleveland Clinic in 1990, he began his clinical practice in the Emergency Department at Elyria Memorial Hospital (now UH Elyria Medical Center).  Over the past 27 years, he has also practiced in several area urgent care centers and a community health center.

 

Dr. McDonald has served as a public health official for 20 years, first as Medical Director for the Elyria City Health District and today for Lorain County Public Health.  Over this same time, he has also served in several hospital administrative positions, including Chief Medical Officer at UH Elyria Medical Center until 2016.
